RED WINE

Monferrato DOC Rosso “Il Gioiello” is an elegant and structured Piedmontese red wine that beautifully reflects the character of the Monferrato region. It is crafted from a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot, two international grape varieties that find ideal growing conditions in these hills, expressing remarkable complexity, aromatic intensity, and balance.

The grapes are harvested between the first and second ten days of October, once they have reached full ripeness. Vinification follows the traditional red wine method, with alcoholic fermentation in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks and a medium-length skin maceration designed to extract color, aromas, and structure. After malolactic fermentation, the wine is transferred to barriques, where it ages for 8–10 months, developing greater complexity, elegance, and smoothness.

In the glass, it displays a deep, intense ruby-red color. The bouquet reveals enveloping aromas of ripe red fruits, delicate spicy notes, and subtle toasted nuances derived from oak aging. On the palate, it is structured, harmonious, and persistent, with well-integrated tannins and a pleasant roundness that carries through to the finish.

It pairs perfectly with flavorful and spiced red meat dishes, game, and blue cheeses, all of which enhance its structure and aromatic intensity.

For the best tasting experience, serve at 18–20°C (64–68°F) to fully appreciate its qualities.
