The Journey of Our Wine: From the Vineyards to the Bottle
The Vineyards: The Precious Hidden Heart of Our Wine
Our vineyards stretch across 16 hectares of gentle hills bathed in sunlight from dawn to dusk, an ideal environment for vine cultivation.
Here, the favorable microclimate and the daily care devoted to the rows allow the grapes to achieve balanced and complete ripening.
The vineyards are trained using the Guyot system, a traditional technique that enables precise management of the vine’s growth, ensuring a natural balance between vegetation and yield.
This method allows us to produce grapes of superior quality while preserving the vitality and longevity of the vines.
Every row is cared for throughout the year with attention and respect for the rhythms of nature.
Work in the vineyard is built on gestures passed down through generations, experience, and passion: it is here that the quality of our wines begins, long before the grapes reach the cellar.”
The Cellar: Where the Essence of Wine Takes Shape
The cellar is the beating heart of our estate, the place where the work carried out in the vineyards takes shape and becomes wine.
Here, every stage of the winemaking process is carefully overseen with great attention, in full respect of the grapes and their natural characteristics.
After the harvest, the grapes, sourced exclusively from our own vineyards, are processed using methods that combine experience, tradition, and modern winemaking technology.
Every step is designed to preserve the quality of the fruit and to fully enhance the unique character of the land.
Our goal is to guide the wine through its natural journey, intervening with sensitivity and precision to preserve the identity of the grapes and the authenticity of the final product.
It is in the cellar that our passion for the land and our love for this craft are transformed into wines capable of telling our story.
Montegrosso d’Asti, in the Heart of Monferrato
PRODUCTION AREA
The Tenuta La Graziosa wine estate is located in the heart of Piedmont, in the province of Asti, one of Italy’s most renowned areas for viticulture. In this land, nestled between the provinces of Turin, Cuneo, Alessandria, and Asti, wine has for centuries represented one of the most authentic expressions of the local agricultural culture.
The territory of Montegrosso d’Asti lies within the Monferrato area, a unique hilly landscape characterized by gentle slopes, orderly vineyards, and charming historic villages. Here, the vine finds ideal growing conditions: mineral-rich soils, excellent sun exposure, and a balanced climate with warm, breezy summers and mild winters.
On the map of the Asti wine region, Montegrosso d’Asti is located among renowned winemaking towns such as Costigliole d'Asti, Nizza Monferrato, and Canelli, places internationally recognized for the quality of their wines. This privileged location allows the vineyards to benefit from a particularly favorable microclimate, essential for the optimal ripening of the grapes.
The hills surrounding the village have been devoted to vine cultivation for generations. Here, human craftsmanship blends harmoniously with the landscape, creating a setting where agricultural tradition, wine culture, and respect for the land have coexisted for centuries.
It is within this extraordinary environment that our wines are born: authentic expressions of a remarkable territory, where every row of vines tells the story of a long winemaking tradition and a passion passed down through time.
