RED WINE

Barbera d’Asti Superiore DOCG “Colli Astiani” is a Piedmontese red wine of remarkable structure and character, an authentic expression of the Asti Monferrato region. Made exclusively from 100% Barbera grapes harvested in early October, it is crafted through a meticulous winemaking process that combines tradition with modern enological expertise.

Vinification takes place in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks, with extended skin maceration to extract color, aromas, and structure. After malolactic fermentation, the wine is transferred to barriques and tonneaux, where it ages for 12 to 18 months, developing aromatic complexity, elegance, and a smooth, rounded texture. This is followed by a further bottle aging period of at least 6 months, allowing the wine to fully evolve before release.

In the glass, it displays a deep ruby-red color. The bouquet reveals notes of ripe red fruits, spices, and delicate toasted nuances. On the palate, it is full-bodied, harmonious, and persistent, with the characteristic freshness of Barbera perfectly balanced by the influence of oak aging.

An excellent match for fresh pasta dishes with meat or game ragù, roasts, braised meats, and stews, as well as aged hard cheeses. Serve at 18–20°C (64–68°F) to fully appreciate its aromas, complexity, and structure.
