◉ Soil: Predominantly calcareous-clay
◉ Grapes: 100% Barbera, harvested between late September and early October
◉ Vineyard Exposure: Variable, predominantly south and south-west facing to ensure optimal grape ripening
◉ Training System: Traditional Guyot, with controlled yields to enhance aromatic concentration and structure
◉ Serving Temperature: 18–20°C (64–68°F)
◉ Vinification: Traditional red wine vinification with alcoholic fermentation in small temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks and extended skin maceration to extract color, aromas, and structure.
◉ Aging: After malolactic fermentation and the removal of coarse lees, the wine is transferred to 225-liter oak barrels, where it matures for 8–12 months. Following bottling, it rests for an additional 2–3 months before release.
◉ Alcohol Content: Approximately 14–14.5% Vol.
◉ Appearance: Deep and intense ruby-red color, bright and showing excellent consistency in the glass.
◉ Bouquet: Floral and balsamic aromas with elegant notes of red berries, particularly blackcurrant and raspberry.
◉ Palate: Juicy, smooth, and robust, with a velvety texture and a vibrant backbone that provides balance and persistence.
