RED WINE

Barbera d’Asti Superiore DOCG “La Famiglia” is an intense and deeply meaningful Piedmontese red wine that embodies tradition, heritage, and passion. It originates in the heart of the Asti Monferrato, in Montegrosso d’Asti, from a very special vineyard composed of old Barbera vines that were carefully saved and replanted in 2016 after the removal of a century-old vineyard originally cultivated by the family’s great-grandfather. Thanks to dedication, patience, and respect for the land, many of these historic vines flourished once again, giving life to a wine that stands as a true tribute to the family’s roots.

Made exclusively from 100% Barbera grapes, harvested between late September and early October, this wine is produced using traditional red wine vinification. Alcoholic fermentation takes place in small temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks, with extended skin maceration to enhance the extraction of color, aromas, and structure. After malolactic fermentation and the removal of coarse lees, the wine is transferred to 225-liter oak barrels, where it matures for 8–12 months, developing aromatic complexity, elegance, and softness. It then undergoes an additional 2–3 months of bottle aging, completing its evolution before release.

In the glass, it displays a deep and intense ruby-red color. The bouquet is refined and expressive, revealing floral and balsamic notes enriched by hints of blackcurrant and raspberry. On the palate, it is juicy, enveloping, and well-structured, with a velvety texture supported by a lively freshness that provides balance and persistence.

The label, while simple in appearance, carries a powerful symbolic meaning. It represents four generations of winegrowers who have cultivated vineyards in Montegrosso d’Asti for over a century, as well as the present-day Bianco Family, who now manage Tenuta La Graziosa. Each vintage is further distinguished by a different wax seal color on the bottle, a unique detail that makes every production distinctive.

Perfect with red meat dishes, roasts, traditional boiled meats, and game, it also pairs beautifully with aged hard cheeses. For the best tasting experience, serve at 18–20°C (64–68°F) to fully appreciate its aromas, structure, and elegance.

A wine that tells a story of family and territory, created to be shared and celebrated on life’s most special occasions.
